Maulik, originally from Kankakee, Illinois, found a love for basketball at an early age and has played throughout his life. Growing up in a competitive environment, he faced challenges during his high school years, which made him question his future in basketball. However, when the chance came to play at the college level, he seized the opportunity. “Taking that chance on myself changed everything,” he shared. “My love for the game never died, and playing college ball shot my career into what it is today.”
Since then, Maulik’s basketball journey has taken him across the globe, allowing him to compete in Germany, Mexico, and China. “My career has reached heights I could never have imagined,” he reflected. Now, he’s thrilled to continue his pro career with the Jaguars and is ready to bring his skills and global experience to the Willamette Valley.
Maulik looks forward to contributing to a winning culture with the Jaguars and is eager to build relationships with the organization and the local community. Owner Marion Clark praised Maulik’s influence and leadership potential: “Maulik has the experience that I believe will help a lot of our young guys this year. He’s been there, at the level many of these players are aiming for, so he’ll be a great presence to have around.”
One of Maulik’s biggest passions is giving back to the youth. In addition to his professional career, he has spent the past five years between seasons mentoring and training young athletes through his own sports development business. “I’m looking forward to contributing to the youth in the Willamette Valley,” he said. “Helping kids grow in their skills and confidence has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m excited to bring that same dedication to this community.”
