Rudy Massaad’s basketball career is a testament to his commitment and resilience. After participating in the Jaguars’ training camp last year, he secured a professional contract in Beirut, Lebanon. However, due to the ongoing conflict in the region, Rudy returned to the United States, grateful for another chance to grow with the Jaguars organization. “I’m looking to better my game through the tools provided in this organization,” Rudy shared. “I want to display a model of joy, courage, and work—highlighting that anything can be achieved through Christ and consistent effort.”
A player with a deep passion for the game and a strong faith, Rudy is determined to be both a leader on the court and a role model for his community. His dedication to growth, perseverance, and excellence shines through every aspect of his journey, inspiring teammates and fans alike.
As he steps into this season with the Jaguars, Rudy is focused on using basketball to make a positive impact in the Willamette Valley. His goal is to inspire young people by demonstrating how sports can be a powerful outlet, especially for those facing challenges. “Sports can be an outlet for kids dealing with family troubles, social challenges, or anything that affects their growth,” Rudy explained. “It’s a way to work on values, self-identity, discipline, and so much more.”

Rudy embraces the hard work to follow his dream, even if that takes him to another country. A lot of guys can’t even say they left their state to pursue their dreams.
