Cindy Murphy President of Operations

Cindy Murphy is a former professional basketball player with extensive experience in both sports and business management. After competing for one year at Gonzaga University, she graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Arts and continued her playing career in Langen, Germany. She later toured with the Portland Saints.

As President of Operations for the Willamette Valley Jaguars, Cindy oversees team dynamics, fosters partnerships, and ensures the smooth execution of all business and operational functions. With over 20 years of experience in event management, she has successfully led high-profile events that build strong community connections and deliver impactful results. Specializing in operations, strategic planning, and community engagement, Cindy is driven by a passion for sports and community development and has made a lasting impact on both the communities she engages with and the businesses she leads.

Throughout her career, Cindy has held several leadership roles, including Operations Director & Programming Director at The Hoop in Beaverton, Merchandise Manager for the Portland Power (women’s professional basketball team), and Executive Director of a large-scale event over the past 19 years. She has also managed the Polar Plunge events in Willamette Valley and Corvallis, overseen 15 school fundraising auctions, and co-coached a girls’ youth team to an Oregon Middle School state championship. Additionally, she has experience as a high school referee for both basketball and volleyball.

Cindy has been inducted into the Wilson High School Hall of Fame and the Portland Interscholastic League (PIL) Hall of Fame, in recognition of her exceptional contributions to basketball both as a player and as a leader in the sport.

Kelly Long, our Vice President of Operations, is a dynamic leader with a diverse educational background in Social Media for Business, Digital Marketing, Environmental Science, and Ethics. Since 2012, Kelly has excelled as the Property Manager at O Family Spot, showcasing his knack for effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams. His experience in managing vacation rental properties and maintaining a robust social media presence echoes our commitment to community involvement and accessibility. Kelly’s blend of digital acumen and environmental consciousness will be instrumental in ensuring our team’s operations are both efficient and sustainable, resonating with our ethos of positive family-fun entertainment.

As the owner of Grace and Grit Training, Janine’s entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to excellence reflect our values of community-building and sportsmanship. Her ability to nurture talent and foster a sense of teamwork aligns perfectly with our organization’s goal of providing family-friendly entertainment and promoting accessibility to sports.

Thomas Bullock Head of Player Development and Training

Thomas Bullock, an accomplished assistant coach, brings a rich history of basketball coaching that started at the young age of 19. His journey through various high schools and AAU programs in Oregon, culminating in a significant role at Lane Community College, reflects his deep commitment to nurturing young talent. Thomas’s remarkable initiative in founding Marathon Athletics, a multi-level AAU program, showcases his adaptability and leadership, particularly during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. Under his guidance, Marathon Athletics not only succeeded in providing ongoing training and competition by traveling to neighboring states but also became a thriving talent incubator, with over 25 athletes advancing to collegiate-level basketball within just two years. Thomas’s ability to foster excellence in young athletes, even under difficult circumstances, aligns perfectly with our values of community-building, resilience, and sportsmanship. His expertise will be invaluable in our mission to engage and uplift the community through basketball, both as entertainment and as a means of personal and athletic development.

General Drako In-Game Announcer & Head of Player Personnel and Outreach
General Drako, our in-game announcer and Head of Player Personnel and Outreach. With a passion for uniting the community through sports, Drako is committed to creating a positive experience for players and fans alike. His vision includes fostering player development and engaging with local businesses and organizations to build a diverse and inclusive environment. Through a partnership with his radio station, KSOS Radio, Drako will also offer youth internships in radio and broadcasting, further strengthening community ties.

Isaac Dubey is a sports broadcaster and journalist at KWVA Sports. Isaac is intensely passionate about inspiring audiences through breathtaking moments in sports. In his role with the station he’s called football, basketball, volleyball, lacrosse, and acrobatics & tumbling on various platforms including ESPN+, B1G+ and 88.1 FM. He is studying journalism and theater at the University of Oregon. In his free time, Isaac enjoys jamming out on the keyboard with his friends and other musicians and playing Ultimate Frisbee.

From filming intense streetball battles at the Venice Ball League to covering professional ABA teams, her portfolio showcases a diverse range of basketball culture. Her deep understanding of the sport, combined with her technical skills in post-production, allows her to create visually stunning content that resonates with both athletes and fans. Through her lens, the game comes to life in a way that is both authentic and unforgettable.
